The cinnamon buns are back!

I found them at 40 Alfred Place, the pop-up café that enticed me in on Friday mornings with coffee-and-cinnamon-scented wafts. Once I was thoroughly addicted to its lattes and buns, it decamped without warning - such is the cruel nature of pop-ups.

However, all is not lost - the glorious cinnamon buns of Hart's Bakery ride again! Or at least they better, or I will be round there to express my disapproval as best I can with my mouth full of bread. You can apparently find Laura Hart working yeasty magic down by the station at Arch 35, Bristol Temple Meads - I'll be visiting next time I catch the First Great Western, which suddenly seems so much more attractive...

Library Corner: I'm reading Kingsley Amis' 'Take a Girl Like You' partly for the sixties clothes but mostly because I'm certain to get a letter or a blog post or even just a postcard out of it somehow. I think  I dined out on 'Lucky Jim' for about a month.
